    I'm not sure about a better frame rate but definitely stable var and sv compared to Darkly. In my experience, the hitching happens when the var and sv drop to yellow.

    I just connected a few minutes ago and noticed no difference what-so-ever. Still random hitches and lag spikes, still sv drops and var spikes. I'd love to come back to Darkly but at this point the 64tic Valve comp servers are smoother.

    Ya, I never care about choke. What I care about is the sv dropping and var spikes and the obvious hitching that seems to happen.

    Haven't been around much but tried out the server a couple of times recently. Problem still exists so I'll continue to play elsewhere. I'll keep coming back once in a while to check cause I like the community but the server performance is a deal breaker for me.

    Darkly used to be the most solid server around which is the main reason i started playing here. For the last few months, I've been seeing my sv and var fluctuate A LOT where they used to be 100% stable. This is also noticeable by little "lag spikes" that seem to happen just during normal game...

    You know what though? Playing season right now it's similar. Watching the "sv" on netgraph and it's dropping to yellow a lot. Maybe it's the server and not the map. Maybe Pira just makes it worse. "var" is also spiking quite a bit.

    All I know is every time it's played the last couple days it's lag city and I'm not the only one feeling it. There's been many complaints about it. It's a great map but really frustrating when you can't count on smooth gameplay when you're trying to pick heads.

    downtown might have been a hit initially but it's a t camp fest now. militia at least has more entrances. honestly i can't think of a single "good" cs map. for some reason they just can't make them balanced properly.
