i fixed it! O_O i changed my windows resolution to more closely match the resolution i picked for CS:S. Works fine now. Thanks for the help!!

when i say graphics settings, i mean the in game resolution. i put it on the lowest setting wich is causing it to freeze after it starts. I verified my steam files but i'm still having the same problem. I'm going to try to adjust my windows resolution and see if that doesn anything. If not...

Okay, so I changed the graphic settings for cs;S to reduce lag. Now CS:S won't start; more like it freezes at the main menue before it brings up any of the commands like "servers" or mainly "options". I've tried uninstall/reinstall. That did nothing; I still have the same...
