I don't usually go on #2, but lucky today, I did. I was just rocket jumping all around Plaza, and I was getting better at it. A few minutes later, a spy headshot me in midair. I thought he was just lucky, but he did it a few more times, and then I went to spectate him. He has aimbot. It seems almost every time he fired, he would hit, and sometimes it would be a headshot, like the kill he got near the end of the video.

To be completely honest, from my perspective I do not see any sort of aimbot, typically the gun would fix directly to a head shot or at least to the body, etc. Similar to a sniper with aimbot, but he seems to have missed far to many shots and his aim seems way off at times.

This would be supported by his stats from today, and previous sessions as well since there is nothing out of the ordinary like 50 kills, 3 deaths, etc.
2/19/14: 29 Kills - 7 Assists - 30 Deaths - 0:39 Hours

Anyway, it is all up to the admins and what they see in the video.

Happy, did you miss what happened at 2:24 - 2:27? Shot to the right of the head, and it headshotted.

I just watched the full video, there is nothing here to conclusively show that this person has an Aimbot.
Infact, I actually forgot about the player I was watching halfway through and started to listen to what sounded like a possible Spycrab runner over the Mic.

Because of that second fact, I just re-watched your specified time clip twice over, there is no snapping to the head, all I see is an aimed shot that was finally successful after god knows how many misses.
We appreciate the effort taken but unfortunately there are no obvious hacks shown in this video.
What you are seeing is just game physics.

Keep up the hard work, Newb.
Unfortunately, this request shall be denied.

Ok, first, I am sorry if I wasn't supposed to reply to my denied ban request, and I am also sorry if I wasted your time. But, I took the last few hours looking back at the video. I slowed down part of the video, and (I don't know if it is just me) I saw that samien's shot flintched a bit to the left.
- Check out the replay. If you still think that the ban request is still denied, then I am very sorry.

I was supposed to close this, my bad sorry. But since you replied..
Thank you for taking that effort to slow down the video, and test it yourself. But on a test server in a controlled environment it is very hard to recreate the same situation that is happening in game.

In the original video, the spy is shooting and the sniper is running. In this instance, the snipers hitbox is slightly away from his body.
As a sniper main I notice these things a lot while shooting people, sometimes I will shoot in front of someone and hit them as they are moving, other times I will shoot behind them and still manage a headshot.
For reference with hitboxes and physics, If I can see someones shoulder round a corner, I can 100% headshot them without any of their head actually being visible to me, as long as I aim where the head should be in reference to the shoulders.
As for the little snap to the left, I do those too. It's a technique some people pick up while learning to aim for heads.

Again, I appreciate all of the effort, but even if this one shot does show hacks, one sketchy shot is not enough to warrant a ban on a player.
Concrete evidence must be present, i.e several sketchy or clear shots showing hacks.

If you really feel so strongly about this individual, I would be happy to review any other demos you pull on him.
I'm not outright saying that this person doesn't hack, I'm just saying that based on the evidence provided, there is not enough to go on.
Feel free to gather some more concrete evidence, preferably with more than just 1 sketchy shot to look at.

For now I am closing this thread.
Feel free to make a new report if you get more evidence on the guy.

And just to add to what Zackychuu said...

TF2's solution to lag, lag compensation, greatly plays with hitboxes. Hit registrations are all according to what the server sees rather than the two clients (as is standard), but besides regular latency someone's personal settings, most significantly their cl_interp setting, affects how the server changes speeds and positions of players to compensate for lag. But player's clients will receive game feedback based upon their perspective, not what actually happened (meaning you could headshot someone, hear the crit sound, and yet not get a headshot). Players change this value to optimize their aim depending on which class they're using. Furthermore, hitbox registrations for hitscan weapons are based upon the attacker's perspective, not the target; thus hitting someone when no part of them is visible is not an unusual occurrence.
