Can't join server....

On the weekends I have a friend or two come over and we usually jump on cs for a while. I can join other servers but when we try to join TD| at the same time it kicks the first one connected out and wont let the second one join. Now I have my girlfriend playing in TD|, her name Jessica if you haven't met her yet. We've been able to join but lately it will only let one of us join at a time. I'm used to being blocked from ghosting servers if on at the same house....but not being able to join. I was just wondering if anyone would have an idea what the problem would be. Please no gay post, or tell me I should just quit and let her play. I know that's hard to ask of you guys, but any ideas?

Me & my bro play from the same house. There is no ip-block on the server, preventing two computers from the same house to play (I'm pretty sure Prince n his bro Archduke play from the same house as well as Bucky n me). Your router is supposed to deal you guys a seperate port on the same ip address - meaning:
my ip = xxx.xxx.x.x:168
my bro's ip = xxx.xxx.x.x:254

As long as the port (the END of the ip address after the ':' is different, you SHOULD be fine. I also think that the router MUST deal different port addresses for you both to be able to access the internet simaultaneously. You must be having a routing issue, because I'm almost 100% it's not server side.

First thing I would try is configuring your router for multiple IP's. Open Internet Explorer and in the address bar type:

http://192.168.0.1, hit enter, this SHOULD bring you to your router's settings, you might have to enter "Admin" and leave Password blank (usually works, unless you've set a password). Have a look around for some settings, especially anything about fire-walling, multiple IP's, IP-filtering, Gaming etc, anything that could potentially mess your shit up.

I've recently restored factory defaults on my router. Its a new Linksys WRT54G2. Under the status tab when I log into it It says under DNS

DNS 1: 68.87.77.130

DNS 2: 68.87.77.130

DNS 3: 68.87.75.194

Just wondering if the first two being the same are a prolem?

If I got to setup, and then Basic Setup, I can see a stop for Static DNS 1, 2, 3.
All of which have emtyp feilds?

I tryed looking every where and I'm not sure what I'm looking for and not sure why we can join other servers no problem?

are one of the steamIDs you are using banned from TD? if so then I think your IP would be banned when that steamID joined from your router, and so both steamIDs are banned. its a longshot, but you never know.

No we can play, once at a time. We've also played together on the server as lately as last week.

That is definately fucked up... I don't get it. Like I said, we have a few brothers, me and mine, and Prince n his that play from same house, on routers... I don't get it... :|

weird, it worked before... u didnt switch the cables areound have you.. like before u were using 1 and 3 = OK .. now 1 and 2, which are the same ip = fail ???

Where on wireless both with laptops. I've also had a few friends over and had 4 laptops on your guys server through my router at once too. Every once in awhile we had problems. Not sure though haven't tried in a while.
