I used to have that problem. Virginia Tech allowed you to setup alias addresses that would forward to your main account. One of mine is fake_email_address@vt.edu. For some reason, some systems won't let you register with that address because they think it's fake.

This problem has been resolved, new users can now register without any issues. Please advise anyone you know who encountered this problem while registering a new account.

Wicked, thanks guys. I've just added 3 guys to my friends list the other night as they asked me about this issue, and I told them I'd get back to them asap. I'll pass on word and get them signed on.
