Server is down

As I type, at 2pm British time, the server is down.

There was only 3 people on, Myself, Avatar404 and Thief_Boss.
Me and avatar were kicked off and can no longer connect.

Just thought I would let you know in case this wasn't something planned and the server is actually down.

I tried my usual restart minecraft-thingy. Not working out so far... But since the server is down, lets make some speculation on why its down! Going first:
