video converting

Trying to rip a movie off youtube, so i get the firefox app that lets me download the .flv (flash video)

now what i need to do is convert it to a .wmv, but the problem is, every video converter i find is crapping out. ive tried 3 or 4 of em, and when i try to select the video i want to convert, it doesnt show up, (i can find it and select it, but when i click upload, the program doesnt do anything) the last converter i tried said something along the lines of my computer not having a proper decoder, which didnt make sense to me.

Anyone convert youtube vids often enough to help me out?
I just want a converter without a watermark.
i needs my ghey prons on the go.

I use it specifically for this (.FLV to DivX). I play music videos in my car (got a video-deck) so it's pretty handy.

If you have Mac, try HandBrake, or just use Toast Titanium (requires full version @ $99.99 or DL it hax-style).
