Great online FREE steam game. Right now it's purely a flight sim, amazing graphics and detail, you can play small arcade maps or big big battles.

I'm a big flight simmer, and a ww2 air campaign buff (specifically BoB)
flight models are accurate, affects are amazing, and it's 100% free.

Pro's:
1. Free
2. Lots of depth, can upgrade planes, pilots and crew
3. Amazing in flight effects, captures the essence of flying nicely
4. Play as bomber or fighter, any country

Con's
1. Pay to play model, meaning there are some fuck tards who are low rank but own hot machines, and blast you out of the sky
2. Free model is a grind, I've played for 10 hrs solid, and still don't have the BF109, played some shit bi-plane for a good 3 hours.

I started downloading ages ago on the client and not through steam.
Does look fun as hell though, need to get around to finishing it

It is a blast, and trust me, having a wing man is key in this game, as the herd tends to pounce on those who fly solo.

but the arcade battles are a blast, low level dog fighting with steep mountains, CFIT baby.

And let me tell you, it's a dandy, they clear the battlefield.

So some more insight on the game, it's actually quite easy once you figure out your rig to shoot enemy planes. they have targets ahead of the airplane where if you lead your shots to, it will hit the enemy plane. Of course this goes away in historical battles etc, but pretty cool in arcade battles.

I'm actually enjoying my stuka righ tnow, those trumpets of jericho are amazing.

Joined Britain, played quite a few games.
It's pretty fun but I'm not that good at it yet.
Still learning how to upgrade my planes and crew and stuff like that but yeah, game looks awesome graphically too!

I've already played enough to unlock all the other nations so I can join you on Germany but as a low level

it's hard. But I also play in cockpit joystick, prepping for big battles, where you can' tmouse aim and don' thave the lead target indicator.

Also to note, enemy players can capture airplanes somehow, so if you're in a battle, and you see a red plane that is from your side, just fucking shoot at it lol

This little tidbit fucked me up for awhile.

oh and the game is 100% compatible with occulus rift.

Dean the big whorebag apparently has a development kit and says the effects are awesome, just the resolution sucks.

it's hard. But I also play in cockpit joystick, prepping for big battles, where you can' tmouse aim and don' thave the lead target indicator.

I think I've shot down around 5 or so....
I'm using mouse :3

So, how does this work, do you just put your mouse on the target and the plane flies to it?

I'm actually naturally a mouse man myself (m alliteration) but I'm training myself to fly joystick because its a hard limitation to the full battles.

It's challenging, because the plane "rocks", it's hard to described, but it's hard to get a spot on shot, I just tend throw bullets into the sky and pray for a hit lol

So, how does this work, do you just put your mouse on the target and the plane flies to it?

It's a bit weird but yeah, you aim and the plane moves where you mouse is pointing.
You can use A and D to do barrel rolls/tight turns and stuff, but it's all mostly mouse action.

I finally grinded to a level 4 plane, HE-112 B-0 ( I think, top of the tree), and man, the performance jump is huge, plus with a cannon, its an amazing plane, finally able to down planes, shot two in one sortie.

i'm also training myself to not use 3rd person or "mouse joystick". doing this old fashion, I fly 50/50 HE-112 and Ju87 stuka.

that feel when the trumpets of jericho kick in.
