Joystiq is reporting that due to feedback from the current CS:GO beta, Valve has decided to cut the cross-platform play. This means CS:GO PC players will not be able to play against console players.
"The beta has proved we want to update not just the beta, but the game itself post-launch frequently on the PC," says Valve's Chet Faliszek to Joystiq. "To do that we need to separate the platforms so one doesn't hamstring the other. So for that, we have removed the idea of cross-platform play -- essentially make all platforms stronger by not mixing them."
IMO, this is a good move on Valve's part. Now they can focus more on the PC development and not be held back by console limitations. What are your thoughts?
