regarding your comment about the taxes. Yes, moar taxes.. but not on you and me, but on the corporations and millionaires, which Romney and team will not allow.
The argument i'm trying to make is that a person should be able to live comfortably doing almost any job imaginable, be it a janitor, a window cleaner, a hotdog vendor, a car mechanic, a journalist, a photographer, etc. You will never be RICH doing these jobs, but being RICH is not the goal, living a happy life is.
The way things are going people in these low paying jobs are having their standards of living lowered because funding for social programs is being cut.
However, large corporations that by their very nature AMPLIFY revenue generation of every single worker (synergy) are somehow taxed at the same if not lower tax rate?
Yes, iCe, asking YOU for one more dollar is outrageous. Asking one more dollar from Coca-Cola is not, asking them to bring jobs back here is also not outrageous, asking pharmaceutical companies to not inflate their products ten fold is also not outrageous, and since there are only TWO options for presidents/parties coming up, standing up for the gays, immigrants and women is not outrageous too.

Why do I pay a sizable amount of money to call my relatives back home, but a 2 hours conversation with some derp in Pakistan is free? Let's do the opposite, lets make international calling for households free and make it stupid expensive for corporations (or anyone with volume over X) to place the same calls, bring back call centers back home.
Why are we eating Mexican tomatoes? Because the farming industry is going down the tube, the average age of a Farmer (in Canada) is 68, we're going to run into serious issues within the next decade where no one will know how to fucking grow plants anymore.

What has America done for me? Allowed me to live in this amazing country. I have a two college degrees from a top university, and work for one of the largest private equity companies in the world. How far up the ladder am I? Well Im sure as hell not at the top but im still in my mid 20's. If you asked me this in my late 30s and I was no where I would say sure your right. I plan to be retired at 50, what does that mean? I have 401K, smallest pension ever. And invest 10% of my money weekly in stocks (to make sure I can retire).
Funny thing here is that you talk about outsourcing like its a bad thing. I work in the financial industry when clients/shareholders are not happy stock goes down bro. You think profits will be good when "entitled" idiots get jobs paying good money and under perform. Earlier in thread everyone was talking about Tbills and bonds. Well stocks are going strong right now and a lot of money to be made. Everyone wants the "safe" investment with a giant return. NEWS FLASH- that doesn't exist. No risk No reward. You want safer investments lay off the nonsense of taxing corporations. Tax the wealthy a bit more (not much) and give corp benefits. Why do you think Texas is booming right now? Because they are giving corporations a reason to build there (tax benefits).

Education system. First off I went to private school for half of my education (I have no problem with funding certain aread of education - Not teachers salaries).
Roads- sure but cut the unions and their entitled labor agreements. You should see how these pavers work. One guy works and six stand around and watch. It is disgusting but they are protected by the union.
Transportation is another joke. They keep increasing fares and the service gets shitter.
Parks - well I agree to a point, but not every neighborhood deserves one (like projects/ and welfare figgits.)
