I believe this is the government invoking power of iminent domain or some jazz.
It happened close to where I live, in BC they were building a highway, and why is it always through some crazy old mans backyard, I don't know, but it was tied up FOR.EV.ER.
It's probably been in negotiations for _years_, and I promise you, he's set up himself, his kids, and his kids kids for life.

This stuff has been happening long before Harper was voted in.
Yea I just don't like Harper,
But really, all it takes is one person in Government to take your land away.

Um, not sure on the last part. I'm pretty sure it's the momentum of a lot of people, lawyers, VP's, decision makers, architects, planners, etc etc that make this stuff happen.

People in Canada should already know you'll never own land. Why do you think you continue to pay property tax long after your mortgage is paid off? That's because you own the home, not the land that it sits on.

Well, the sword DOES cut both ways. If you remove the monstrous amounts of land that they own, the Royal Family are no where near as prosperous and rich as they once were. That being said, I'd still suck a thousand dicks to get the money they DO have left, but it's all relative. Personal opinion: When the Queen dies, her inbreed retard children and grandchildren will crash and burn the Monarchy to the ground. They are figure heads now; paparazzi bait to keep old-schoolers like my deceased grandmother entertained by seeing them smile and wave to the peons.
It may seem silly and inane to young people like us but if it brought a little sunshine into the twilight of my grandmother's life, do I have a right to deprive her of it?
I tend to see religion the same way. Most of it is just a series of Fables like Aesop in my eyes, but for other people, if it makes their dick hard and they aren't sticking that dick in my ear without my consent, then all the power to them.
