I have seen similar raffles before by someone by the name of Skilful Gamr or something like that on several servers. He took raffle entries then skipped the server.

I saw another right now, looked at his aliases and sure enough it was the same guy.

I think so Zoidberg.
What they do is they announce a raffle, and say that they are taking metal for entries.
Then once they have taken a few entries they leave the server.
