Anyone play it?

I know it's old, but I'm not into MMOs, so the "Diet MMO" feel of Guild Wars suits me. I don't feel compelled to sell my life to it, and I can walk away from it for years and come back to it without missing a beat.

The biggest beef I hear out of non-GW converts (who are usually WoW heads) is that it looks too realistic and not cartoony enough. Not a bad beef to have in my opinion. I find it is a bit "bloomy" but that's most games in the past 3 years; overdosing on bloom effects and too shiny for their own good.

It's pretty fun. I call it the diet MMO. No long hauls from one place to the next, quick max levelling, but tonnes of content to enjoy. It's different. Not what some MMO junkies enjoy, but most of them are brainwashed by WoW or some other game and just don't want to leave it.

Heard the style of gameplay is quite different and something about you can start max level early for those not a fan of grinding . Not sure but gw 2 looks fun if its the way I read it to be.

WoWheads have problems with GW because it is fucking terrible. Can you even jump in GW? DERP.

I play MMO's for the long haul that is the fucking point, another reason GW is trash.

Jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump is the mindset of MMO players, for being tiny in games, jumping for fun, jumping for advantages etc. Jumping is like the main thing for MMOs... Even LotR online has jumping, + points for the option to make your character fat, and about WoW brainwashing people? Nah, just a great game :P
