before you could work hard and reap the rewards, now you work hard and get shit fuck all unless you have capital to throw around.
before you had an idea and you turned it into a business, you had a product, you had manufacturing, you had jobs, you provided for your society and everything was in balance.
now the biggest salaries are made from NOTHING, money creates money with no tangible results. Investing has long since stopped being what it once was. Investing used to be a gamble, a token of faith that an idea would take off the ground and create something. Nowdays investing is though of as a risk free income generating system, ie BULLSHIT.
I will give you a cookie and a pat on the back the day you get it through your thick skull that for the last couple of decades you and the majority of americans have been duped into supporting a system that will make sure that you stay at the bottom while the rest go to the top.
The only way to make money in america is to have money to begin with. Try to start a small business? It better be a drycleaning store or a meat deli because anything revolutionary and you'll have the big tech and chemical giants come down on you with pattent and copyright infringements.
Supporting a family of 3, let alone 4 or 5 on a single income from a "normal" job? Forget about it, hasn't been possible since the 70s.

The only difference is that while you think that with just a little bit of hardwork you'll climb out of it, we believe that you shouldn't have to be in that trench to begin with.

If you really want to get into the debt crisis then you would know Clinton signed the housing bill that allowed people making >50K to buy a 400K house. Bush is responsible for not stoping it, he did not start it. I will blame Obama for spending 3X more money in 3 years than Bush did in eight.

Mitt Romney is relay not the problem in the Republican party, wile in Massachusetts he was extremely moderate. The economic view of the republicans can be backup by economist (many world leaders follow the same economic principles) and re-health care reform would be painful, the end would be about the same and no real cost difference compared to GDP when you add the personal and governmental costs. (but when this fight has been going on for this long (originally 1930s social security act wanted to have health insurance) its hard to believe in there drive to deliver.)
I feel the problem is the bigotry in the country (shorter campaigns would help). There are groups that have a very disturbing voices -
anti Islam (They think sharia law is taking hold in the usa...) There is a example of this in Tennessee right now and in the past new york.
The anti Gay, anything from marriage (separate but equal law will also be a problem) to wanting to fire teachers/army.
The anti immigration and mostly talking about Mexicans, there has been mistreatment of illegals on the boarder not only by people employed by the government but by normal people.
Anti science groups that wants to force schools to teach creationists and allow students to opt out of anything that would go ageist there freedom of religion, or think climate change is not real.
not to mention Abortion/birth control....
If they some how they could remove those voices from the party (or in the platform) then it would not be that bad...
as for mexico.... many of there problems have to do with being next to the largest drug economy in the world (and the "buy up" of many farmers land). But like omission I would not hate them as to improve anything it takes time and understanding.
As for "Obama for spending 3X more money in 3 years than Bush did in eight."
it is true the debt grew a lot (x2 not x3) but this was a product of the slowing economic (less taxs) times and to a lesser extent the addition to the wars in the defense budget.
