I just found my WC3 cd the other day. I just have to find my TFT disc as well and we're good to go :)

Ok, star/war/craft noob here. Are these games battle.net or whatever gaydom that is, or are we able to host an old skool warcraft/starcraft server?

If the community wants, I'll go through the work to set that up.

AFAIK, there's no dedicated server you can set up.

there are third party sc servers. the only one of which i know is the "Cali" server. it was popular back in the day.
i dunno about wc3 though.

theres this server thing called 'iccup'. its a league you can say that hosts games on its server. people from around the world can play on it but i have no idea how to set one up.

watch out clash, he's asian. he's probably gone through every which calculation and figured out the exact percentage of success against all playing types using his strategy... that was hard to type, only asians could actually do it.

I figured out, that we can host a WC3 server. But it will take some work, give me some time to figure it all out, and then I'll use my slave Barf to tester all out.

Ok ladies, after talking to barf, I won't be setting up a WC3 server. Apparently a private dedicated server doesn't do anything that b.net does currently.

I play a lot of random teams as, um, random, so I found custom keys to be indispensable.
